How Blooming Emerged

BLOOMING was made by 5 women.

My family was just transitioning to Medellin, Colombia and I was helping them adjust. I was in the midst of trying to find my next purposeful collection but it hadn’t come to me yet.

Until I came across this woman whose name is also Diana, and although it is spelled different it is pronounced the same as my name. As we got deeper in conversation we both disclosed that we are both jewelry designers and artists and that is when I felt everything align. Diana was just opening up her own store in Medellin and she was looking for ways to expand her market and customers.

That is when it dawned on me, I asked her if she was willing to collaborate on my next collection. When she said yes we wasted no time; we began designing, thinking about styles and colors. A day later we began crafting and making all of the jewelry and hired 4 more women to help with the crafting of it.

BLOOMING is made by humble, hardworking women, who carry a life story in their hands and what they make. Most of these women are jewelry makers because it runs in their blood, their ancestors were jewelry makers and here they were continuing the legacy.

When you support Blooming you are supporting women from different economies, you are supporting indigenous, native women of Colombia and wherever else we can take our next collection.

Blooming took hours, and days of work. These women poured their heart and soul into every piece and every detail so that you can feel like the goddess that you are.
